Our Story

Doctor Lisa Clinic was founded in January 2022 by Dr. Lisa Cunningham, a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and experienced Aesthetic Practitioner. After over a decade working in frontline medicine — including with the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance in the UK — Dr. Lisa brought her precision, safety-first approach to aesthetic medicine.

Her vision was to create a one-to-one, doctor-led clinic where every patient receives her undivided attention and a truly personalised treatment plan.

Recognising a gap in high-quality, ethical training for medical professionals, Dr. Lisa launched the Doctor Lisa Academy. Built on a safety-first mindset, the Academy provides an interprofessional space where doctors, dentists, and nurses train together, share knowledge, and uphold the highest standards of care in aesthetic medicine.

Meet Dr. Lisa

Dr. Lisa Cunningham is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine, Prehospital Physician, and experienced Aesthetic Practitioner with over eight years’ aesthetics training in Ireland and the UK. Her unique background in critical care ensures that patient safety, ethical practice, and natural results are at the heart of every treatment.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Lisa is passionate about education. Through the Doctor Lisa Academy, she mentors and trains medical professionals, offering accredited, hands-on courses with ongoing support.

When she’s not in the clinic or teaching, you’ll find her on the Gaelic football pitch as part of the Mayo LGFA and GAA backroom teams — or spending time in Ballina with her husband Bernard and their three children, Cathal, Cuán, and Féile.
